Machine Knitting

This course is for beginners and advanced knitters and uses a variety of types of machine. Learn about casting on and off, shaping, lace-making use of colour and many other techniques.

Curtain Making
All the curtains produced by the students on this course will be to a high professional standard. They will include lined curtains, matching difficult pattern designs with the option of various headers. You can make Roman, London, Austrian or festoon blinds. Learn how to make curtain accessories such as pelmets, swags and tails, tie backs in any style to suit your interior designs.

Garment Alterations
Update your wardrobe! Learn how to change a garment by altering it’s size or length, or getting it to look different by changing it’s buttons, collar or lining. Revamp your clothes to bring them up to date.

General Sewing
This course is for those who are beginners, or who feel a need to brush up old skills and want to learn how to sew with a professional finish. Using an industrial machine and an overlocker you will learn about various seams, fastenings and bindings and the use of different fabrics. By the end of the course you will have made items for your home, yourself and your family.

Multi Cultural Art & Design
A practical and thought provoking introduction to the artistic styles and techniques of different cultures. You will have a chance to try your hand at painting, drawing, collage and a wide range of other techniques. This course will also provide a basis for further study in art and design.
