Welcome to our Silai For Skills website. We're an exciting women only sewing project based in Easton, Bristol dedicated to helping women increase their confidence and skills through learning.

We're not just about sewing - we aim to help you build on your talents, your confidence, in fact all the skills necessary for you to set up a business, further your education or just improve your quality of life.

We have been working with women from across Bristol for 19 years, providing a comfortable dynamic learning environment
for women of all ages and backgrounds.

We have bi-lingual tutors and offer numeracy and literacy support, so whatever your needs we're able to help you learn. And if you have children, we provide a free crèche on the premises for a limited number of children.

All our courses run from 10am - 3pm to fit around school hours. We also offer Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG).

Our workshops are fully equipped with industrial sewing and knitting machines and all courses begin at entry level and rise to NVQ level III. Many of our students go on to further challenges in education or in the workplace or move on to self-employment.

Whether you've never threaded a needle or are an experienced dressmaker / craftswoman, we offer OCN (Open College Network) accredited courses to suit all levels.

All of our courses are at affordable prices, so that all our students can access high quality education no matter what their financial situation.                               price list
