Zuhra Anwar

Zuhra Anwar was born and grew up in Pakistan. She came to England after marrying her husband. They settled in Bristol and Zuhra has four children. Zurha has been working with Silai for Skills in the creche since it was at the YMCA in Totterdown.

"My name is Zhura Khatoon Anwhar, I was born in Pakistan, I grew up in Pakistan, after that I came to England, and lived with my husband. I've got four children, one daughter and three boys.

When they started the Silai for Skills group we were in the YMCA, then they moved to All Hallows Road. In the YMCA there was one big room, not very big, then they moved to Easton. They got a bigger space, and there were so many people interested with the Silai group and so many people coming in, they got a crËche, but it was a very small room in the All Hallows Road and then they buy a bigger place on the Easton Road. In Easton Road we have a big, massive, big créche, because there are so many courses running."
